Risk mitigation – full automation

Here at FreeSoft we are aware of the risk and complexity of mainframe modernization and migration, so the project methodology we apply reflects the principal of maximizing automation and eliminating manual effort. Therefore our LiberatorWorkbench technology utilizes short and agile iteration cycles by repeating code conversion processes and eliminating any manual intervention in generated code elements. We use a combination of GenAI tools and our own IP to provide you with proven end-to-end Mainframe modernization service.

Customized to your needs

We have default code re-factoring practice to Java, but if you prefer something different that fits better your Java coding standards, it is no problem to implement in our LiberatorWorkbench framework. Our iterative and agile code conversion processes can be adjusted and adapted according to your specific needs for coding style or architectures / frameworks used in the target scenario.

GenAI powered QA

Testing is one of the most critical tasks of Mainframe modernization and re-factoring project, because all your business functions require precise verification on the new platform. Our unique GenAI powered test automation tool AppTester is designed for legacy modernization projects and will efficiently supports you in recoding your original business transactions in the legacy system, then replaying and validating those in your new Java hosted on cloud like AWS, GCP, OCI or on-prem infrastructure.

Legacy Assessment

Discovery process including a full source code analysis for legacy applications and environments. Complete inventory of software components with various management measures, cross-reference information, call-trees and many more for impact analysis and planning.

Database Migration

Migration of entire legacy databases to relational models or NoSQL solutions. Automated processes for schema migration and normalization and ETL processes for data migration.

Code Conversion

Full functional conversion of legacy applications to the Java or .NET technology stack while keeping the original data and services unchanged. Transformation to a web based arhitecture without impact on end-users.

Test Automation

Automation tools to support the regression testing and QA in legacy migration and modernization projects. AppTester is part of our modernization framework, specifically designed and integrated into our modernization technology and services.
